NOTICE OF RACE

The Marathon Sailing Club cordially invites sailors to participate in the Valhalla Regatta for CR 914’s

I VENUE:  Valhalla Quarry, Mile Marker 56.6 Bay side off US-1

II RULES: The Regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules Of Sailing (RRS), 2012-2016, appendix E to the RRS, rules of the CR 914 Class and the Sailing Instructions. -Sailing Instructions and any modifications to the RRS will be available at registration. -Boats must be registered in the CR 914 Class comply with Class rules and bear sail numbers. -Class approved bow bumpers will be required

III FORMAT: Races will be scored according to the Low Point System

IV REGISTRATION: Entries will be accepted at the VALHALLA QUARRY on Sunday morning Feb. 19th beginning at 9:00AM. There will be a $15 registration fee due at that time.

V AWARDS:  Awards will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finisher

9:00 Registration begins 9:30 Skippers

10:00 Start of first

12:00 Lunch Break

12:30 Start of afternoon races

2:00 Start of last race Awards after last race

INFORMATION: A light breakfast and lunch will be served You will be sailing in salt water so take proper precautions for protecting your equipment.

PLEASE RSVP via email if you are coming an d if there are others with you so we can have a food count. If you are arriving on Saturday let me know so we can arrange dinner.

Hope to see you all down here in the beautiful Florida Keys where you can practice for the upcoming    CR 914 MIDWINTERS!

Join Us- If you are a sailor, and are in the Keys anytime from December to May, why not join us to enjoy the waters around Marathon with fellow sailors. The cost to join the Marathon Sailing Club is $50 for an individual or $75 for a family.
